We adopted Arya (formerly named Miley) our Blue Heeler Mix from the DCHS back in December. Not a day goes by that we don't wonder how we were lucky enough to get her. She's a terrific dog - very energetic, curious, silly and mischievous. Her vet says she's in perfect health and we're excited to take her to her first training class next week. She loves playing catch, chasing after her squeaky guys, digging in the snow and snuggling. She's even started warming up to other dogs and has become buddies with a neighbor's dog.

It took four or five trips to the shelter before we met her and had an instant connection. Everyone who worked there was really kind, and helped us to get answers to any questions or concerns we had during those visits. We've been singing your praises ever since and are quick to recommend DCHS to others. Thank you so much!
