The shelter will be closed Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17 for our annual Bark & Wine fundraising event. Appointments will be accepted Friday, May 16. The shelter will also be closed on Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day.

Losing a pet can be unexpected and stressful, but microchipping is a solution to ensure happy reunions. DCHS is pleased to announce that microchipping services will now be available at the shelter during all open hours! The cost is $30 for dogs and only $15 for cats.
