Breed Matching Program

Wanting a Westie? Searching for a Shih Tzu? Looking for a  Lab? Craving a Cocker Spaniel?  Our Breed Matching Program may be just right for you!

We understand that finding exactly what you are looking for can sometimes be time consuming, difficult, and confusing. Dane County Humane Society is proud to offer a service for those searching for a particular breed or type of animal. By paying a small service fee and signing up for our Breed Matching Program, our staff will hold animals for you that match your criteria. That way, you will be first in line to adopt that special pet!

We have successfully matched numerous kittens and dogs with their new forever homes - yours could be our next match! This program is best suited to potential adopters looking for specific breeds or types of animals and who have some flexibility regarding age and gender.  Space is very limited and participants pay a $25 fee for inclusion in the program.

If you'd like to learn more or get involved in this exciting new program, please contact Betsy at (608) 838-0413 ext. 160.
