Shelter Outreach Services (SOS)Our SOS program is designed to help other shelters and rescue groups meet their spay/neuter needs. SOS provides a veterinarian, a veterinary technician and all the necessary equipment to host a spay/neuter clinic. Each participating group is required to provide a location, volunteers and patients. Assistance is available in selecting a location as well as training for volunteers. Availability is currently limited but please feel free to contact us for more information. Spay/Neuter Assistance Partners in Dane CountyThe following non profit and private veterinary clinics have partnered with DCHS through Maddie’s Fund Spay/Neuter Project to help end the problem of pet overpopulation in Dane County. Each clinic offers low-cost or free spay/neuter services for qualifying companion cats and feral/free-roaming cats in Dane County. Their generosity and dedication to spay/neuter efforts will help bring us closer to the goal of finding a caring home for every animal that comes through our doors. Please note while the clinics listed here are partners in the Maddie’s Fund Spay/Neuter Project, the services and programs offered by each are offered independently of DCHS programs. Appointments at these clinics must be made directly with that clinic and may be subject to fees or restrictions determined at the discretion of each clinic. All qualifying clients must be Dane County residents, and companion cat clients must have proof of low income assistance. Contact each clinic for further details on fees or restrictions, or to schedule an appointment. Participating Non-Profit Organizations
