Volunteer Positions: Spay/Neuter Clinics

SATURDAY SPAY/NEUTER CLINICS

Dane County Humane Society has three high-volume spay and neuter clinic programs that depend on your help for their success. Shelter Outreach Services (S.O.S) is our mobile shelter outreach program, bringing spay and neuter services to rescue groups and shelters in Dane County and in surrounding counties. During our Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) and Saturday Spay Days, the shelter provides low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for the pets of Dane County. Join Dane County Humane Society in providing these surgeries, recognized as the number one solution to addressing pet overpopulation, by volunteering in one of these positions:

  • Lunch Assistant

This position supports Dane County Humane Society’s mission and core values by providing lunch for approximately 15 volunteers on Saturday Spay Days and Dane County Humane Society hosted S.O.S days.

  • Surgery & Recovery Assistant

This position supports Dane County Humane Society’s mission and core values by assisting shelter veterinarians and AMS staff in the day-to-day operations of animal surgery and recovery.

  • Saturday Spay Day Assistant

This position supports Dane County Humane Society’s mission and core values by welcoming and coordinating clients and their pets that have scheduled Saturday Spay Day spay or neuter appointments.
