Spay and Neuter Assistance
EVERYDAY IS SPAY DAY AT DANE COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY!
Spaying and neutering your pets is so important that DCHS makes sure all cats, dogs, and rabbits are always spayed or neutered before they are adopted from our shelter. Altering animals already living in our community is also important to us, and we have a low-cost spay/neuter program to provide an oppourtunity for low-income pet owners to have their pets spayed or neutered.
Our services are for those in financial need.

APPOINTMENTS
Due to our current large waitlist numbers and very limited clinic availability, at this time we are no longer able to add clients and their cats to our waitlist. In order to continue to help community cats while awaiting the funds for our new Mt. Horeb facility we have had special events at our DCHS main location. With the busy season upon us we cannot continue these outreach efforts while caring for both Dane and Rock county animals. As soon as we have our Mt. Horeb Clinic doors open, we will be taking appointments from those on our waitlist. Once they are taken care of, we will lift our waitlist restrictions and be accepting appointments again. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure we are giving all of our animals the best care possible!
Please note, we are still taking names on our waitlist for both dogs and bunnies.
