Most DCHS and Wildlife Center services are by appointment only, including reuniting lost animals, surrendering a pet, wildlife rehabilitation, and more. Adoption visits are first-come, first-served. We recommend checking our current waitlist prior to your visit.

Amber Middleton

Amber is a lifelong animal person and has volunteered with animal welfare organizations for almost ten years. She has a passion for educating the community, particularly kids, about animal welfare and the joys animals can bring. Amber is also an advocate for local food and agriculture and volunteers her free time with goats, pigs, and donkeys at a farm sanctuary. Amber shares her home with two dogs, Taffy and Roux, and two cats, Sadie and Sarge, three of which are DCHS Alums.
Amber leads Humane Education programming for DCHS. She coordinates Camp Pawprint, birthday parties, scout workshops, tours and presentations, and other education activities.
