With over 15 years of volunteer experience in animal welfare and more than two decades working in Dane County nonprofits, Amy was thrilled to unite her passion and profession when she joined the DCHS team in 2017. A social work alum of UW-Whitewater, Amy holds a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University in Denver and a Certificate in Lifesaving Animal Shelter Management from the University of the Pacific.

Amy and her husband, William, live in Fitchburg, where they share their home with special needs and senior cats and dogs, including several DCHS alums: Otis, Adelaide, Ruthie, Katherina, Sofie, and Jinx. 

Amy leads our Development, Marketing and Humane Education Team. She talks with donors about major gifts including those made via stocks/bonds, IRA distributions, as well as legacy gifts and our Directors’ Council giving society.
