With over 15 years of volunteer experience in animal welfare and a 20+ year career in Dane County nonprofits, Amy was thrilled to join passion and profession when she joined the DCHS team in 2017. Amy is an alum of UW-Whitewater, holds a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University in Denver, and a certificate in Lifesaving Animal Shelter Management from University of the Pacific. She and her husband William live in Fitchburg, sharing their home with special needs and senior cats and dogs, including DCHS alums Hedwig, Otis, Tucker, Eggbert, Sofie and Samson.

Amy leads our Development, Marketing and Humane Education Team. She talks with donors about major gifts including those made via stocks/bonds, IRA distributions, as well as legacy gifts and our Directors’ Council giving society.
