Deysi grew up in a small town, Fort Atkinson, before moving to Madison 5 years ago. She started working at Dane County Humane Society in June 2021 in our Animal Medical Services department. 

Through her work at DCHS, she realized how impactful it was to provide support to our vulnerable community members, especially the Hispanic community. As one of the only Spanish speaking employees at DCHS, Deysi has been able to assist countless clients with medical and surrender prevention support. 

Outside of work, Deysi loves being out in nature, going for hikes, laying on her paddle board, and enjoying a nice cup of coffee. Deysi has 3 cats that are DCHS alumni: Kai, Ren, and Wonton.
