Most DCHS and Wildlife Center services are by appointment only. If you found a lost animal, need to surrender a pet, found wildlife in need of help, or require another service, please call before coming to the shelter. Adoption visits are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Doug Brown

Doug started his career with DCHS in 2002, shortly after graduating from Ripon College. He was promoted to management and joined the Leadership Team in 2003 and has served as the Assistant Executive Director since 2014. Doug has always had a passion for animals and along with his wife, he currently shares a home with his dog, two cats and three human children.

In addition to providing oversight to DCHS’ daily operations and acting as the manager for DCHS’s Wildlife and Equine/Livestock Departments, Doug also calculates and compiles the shelter’s statistics and oversees the shelter’s IT and phone needs.
