Humane Educator
Jenna Homburg

Jenna’s personal humane education journey began right here at DCHS back in the 1980’s when she would come in with her grandparents to adopt dogs for their family’s farm in Cottage Grove. After working in animal welfare (specifically canine behavior modification and training) for almost a decade, she decided to transition into humane education and is so excited to bring her knowledge and passion for all things animal related right here to her hometown. Jenna is a certified professional dog trainer and recently earned her master's in education from UW Milwaukee.
In her free time, she can be found volunteering at Heartland Farm Sanctuary, rehabilitating survivors of severe abuse and neglect with a national animal rescue team, and snuggling her two rescue dogs, Bridges and Irvin.
Jenna leads humane education programming for DCHS, with a focus on Camp Pawprint and other community education activities.
