Jim Madden

Jim joined the DCHS board in 2024. He was born in Pittsburgh (Steeler fan), raised in Wisconsin (Packer fan as backup) with some interim years spent in Portland, OR, including a volunteer stint at the Multnomah County Humane Society. Jim received a BBA and MBA from UW-Madison.

For over 25 years he has been a portfolio manager specializing in sustainable investing. Jim’s team evaluates how companies treat their employees, the environment, and the communities they do business with, as part of the investment process.

Jim and his wife are lifelong animal lovers and owners of a dog, Riley, and cat, Bean. He is so amazed at progress DCHS has made since its days on Pennsylvania Avenue. Jim is honored and grateful to be able to give back to such a tremendous organization and the animals it serves.
