Camp WildSide Discovery Days

Explore, discover, and have fun at Camp WildSide Discovery Days!

Join us for our next Discovery Day on:

  • Date: Sunday, May 3rd
  • Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Location: DCHS Equine Barn (5124 Voges Rd)   
  • Ticket Price (per participant): $15 general admission; reduced rates are available for groups of 5+ people
  • Estimated Time: 2 hours
  • Age Requirements:
    • Youth participants 8-17 years old can attend with or without an adult present.
    • Youth participants 4-7 years old must be accompanied by an adult participant at all times.
    • Adult participants must register for the event, too!

Experience a sampling of all Camp WildSide has to offer at your own pace during this event!  General admissions tickets include access to:
- Guided arts and crafts
- Guest speakers
- Bone study
- Microscope lab
- And more!
Laser tag available for an additional charge at the event. 

All activities run for the duration of the event so come at a time most convenient to you! All stations are optional and at your own pace. We recommend planning for about 2 hours to experience all we have to offer.

Mobile Events

With mobile events, we bring activities to you! Mobile events are 1-2 hours long, and we are able to accommodate groups of all sizes. Mobile event topics are listed below.

Mobile Event Fees:

  • 1 hour - $150
  • 2 hours - $250

DCHS Education Programs have a travel fee in addition to the price of the mobile event. The first 20 miles round trip to your facility will have no extra charge. For distances of more than 20 miles round trip, there will be a $1 charge per mile.

For groups over 20 people we recommend planning two back-to-back mobile events with smaller groups.

Our Wildlife Educator can visit your school, business or organization to teach participants about different wildlife-related topics. Or, your group could come to us. We offer several different presentation lengths, and we are able to accommodate groups of all sizes.

Presentation Fees:

  • 30 minutes - $60
  • 60 minutes - $80

Field Trips

Love the idea of presentation or event but don't have the space for it? Consider a wildlife field trip at DCHS! Field trips to DCHS are a 2 hour adventure and can include time with our education animals, a craft or service project and/or a presentation! Field Trips are located at the DCHS Equine Barn, 5124 Voges Road in Madison.

We require at least 2 weeks notice, and a minimum of 15 students to schedule a field trip.

Field Trip Fees:
$10/participant
No charge for teachers
