Many community members are facing uncertain and challenging times, and when money is tight, even caring pet families can struggle to afford food for their beloved animals. No one should ever have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets.

At Dane County Humane Society, we’re already hearing from pet families who are heartbroken at the thought of surrendering their pets simply because they can’t afford to care for them with SNAP benefits on hold. We want to keep people and pets together.

If you or someone you know needs food or litter for their animals, please come to our Pet Food Pantry on Saturday, November 8th, from 9 am to 12 pm. Pantry pick-ups will take place at the barn on DCHS’s main campus, 5132 Voges Road, Madison. Please remain in your vehicle as volunteers will distribute food directly to vehicles.
