The Main Shelter and Thrift Store are closing at 4:00 pm Friday, March 24, for a special event. Adoption visits are first-come, first-served. We recommend checking our current waitlist prior to your visit. Most other services are by appointment only, including reuniting lost animals, surrendering a pet, wildlife rehabilitation, and more.
Betty White
Challenge
Betty White was a lifelong animal lover and outspoken advocate for animal welfare. Last year, on what would have been Betty White's 100th birthday, thousands of fans donated in her honor to animal rescues, shelters, and charities. In total, the #BettyWhiteChallenge raised over 12.7 million dollars for animals in need, including $50,000 for animals at DCHS!
Join us in honoring Betty White and making her birthday an annual tradition where we continue her legacy of supporting animals in need.
Make double the impact! Thanks to Steve and Margie Holzhueter gifts of any size will be matched up to $2,500.
