Separate from our Membership program, DCHS has Giving Societies to support the lifesaving work happening at the shelter every day. These include Directors' Council and Constant Companions.

Supporters in Directors’ Council have the opportunity to engage in unique experiences with DCHS throughout the year. These include updates with our directors and other shelter leaders, exclusive special events, animal experiences, and more.

New Constant Companions join a devoted support network giving monthly to sustain the lifesaving work of DCHS. Constant Companions can give at any level over $5/month, and they can gain dual recognition as supporters in Directors' Council when they give at least $84/month.

As a DCHS member, you change the lives of animals in our community. Your ongoing commitment through your yearly membership gift helps DCHS save more lives every year.

To become a DCHS member, you must be 18 years or older. Only individuals can become members - organizations and businesses cannot. All memberships must be renewed annually to maintain member status.

Please note that in an effort to be more environmentally conscious, we no longer provide membership cards.
