Most DCHS and Wildlife Center services are by appointment only, including reuniting lost animals, surrendering a pet, wildlife rehabilitation, and more. Adoption visits are first-come, first-served. We recommend checking our current waitlist prior to your visit.

Name: Anubis

Age: Adult (~3 years old)

Weight (approx.): 69 lbs.

Personality: Hi there! My name is Anubis and I'm so excited to meet ya! My best friend Vera and I are looking for our forever home together! I'm a fun-loving girl who would love to go on some adventures! I'm still learning my manners, so I would love to find a family who will teach me fun new ways to be a little more polite when I meet new folks since I'm pretty tall. I bet training classes would be an awesome way to bond and learn together. Vera and I just love each other so much that we'd prefer if we were the only dogs in the home! We get along so great, sharing our beds, toys and people nicely. We also walk on leash together great and would love to go on walking adventures with you. We may not be staying in our dog kennel when you visit DCHS as we are keeping a staff member company in her office, so be sure to ask about as the Adoption Center

Medical History: I recently tested positive for Lyme disease and will be sent home with some antibiotics as a precaution! My bloodwork shows nothing too concerning, so it would be a great idea to set me up with a new vet right after adoption!

Adoption Fee: Because we need to go home together and because we will need some ongoing medical care, our adoption fee has been reduced. Ask about us in the Adoption Center.
