Hello everyone! My name is Peanut. I'm a charming Southern gentleman looking for a new home to call my own. While I've been largely friendly with the folks here at the shelter, I can be a little timid around new people, and would appreciated adopters who understand that I just need to take things at my pace. I've also been wary of some of the dogs I've seen around the shelter, so would prefer to be the only dog in my new home, or at least to be introduced to any new dogs in the home very slowly after adoption. Because I'm young, I would benefit from positive reinforcement training to help me learn my puppy manners and to build confidence while seeing people and other dogs. Medical History: I appear to be a healthy young adult dog at this time, but it's always a good idea to get me into a vet soon after adoption so I can meet my new doctor!
