Hi, I'm Dakota! I'm a sweet older gal looking for a loving home-and an exercise buddy! I'm a big girl (almost 80 pounds of beagle mix love) and could really use someone to help me get back in shape. I'm a little shy when we first meet, but once I feel comfortable, I absolutely adore pets and affection. I've lived with kids and cats before and did just fine, though I'd appreciate slow introductions to new friends. When it comes to dogs, I'd prefer any other dogs in my future home to be calm canine companions. I've just moved into a cozy foster home to stay in while I wait to find my fur-ever family, so I'm no longer staying at the main shelter. Medical History: This older lady has some typical age-related medical needs that our expert staff will review with potential adopters but she is a generally healthy gal. However, it will be important for her to meet her new vet soon after adoption to keep her on a healthy path.
