Greetings, human! I am Dexter, an incredibly intelligent and energetic pup with a *scientific* approach to life! I love running, fetching, and experimenting with new toys-I'm constantly testing my limits and exploring the world around me. While I may be a bit cautious around new people at first, once I feel comfortable, you'll see my true side: a lovable and eager companion who leans into pets and craves interaction. My ideal home has no other animals and only folks older than teen-aged, and a fenced in yard would be great too! My mind is sharp, and I'm excited to learn new things-especially when cheese is involved! With the right guidance and some consistent training, I'll be your loyal lab partner, ready to tackle any challenge that comes our way. In fact, because I love to learn, I am eligible for a scholarship towards a training program! Be sure to ask my friends in the adoption center how to use it. If you're ready to work together and unleash my full potential, I can't wait to meet you! Please just ask at the Adoption Center to meet me, because I have a quieter kennel at the shelter where the public can't see me.

Medical History: Dexter is a healthy adult dog, but it would be a good idea to get him in with his new vet soon after adoption so they can get to know each other!

Home Preferences: No other animals, must have fenced yard, would like to go home with teens or older
