Hi, I'm Versi-short for Verstovia, like the mountain in Alaska! With my fluffy coat, strong build, and grand presence, I definitely live up to my name. I'm a big girl with a heart just as big. I'm a mix of Husky, Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, and a little Mastiff-which means I've got smarts, strength, and a deep love for people all wrapped into one majestic package.
I'm six years old and have spent the last three years with a family who loves me. I'm house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and well-behaved at the vet and groomer-especially if there are belly rubs involved! I love to hang out in the same room as my people, or toss my ball around in the bedroom. When I get sleepy, I'll tuck myself into bed like the good girl I am.
I'm sweet, loving, and playful-but I'm also a bit of a queen bee when it comes to other dogs. I've been living with another big dog for a few years now, but it's become clear that I'd really thrive as the only pet in a home. I want all the food, toys, and attention for myself (can you blame me?), and I get stressed when I have to share. I also get a little overexcited when I see dogs through the window or on a walk, so I'd do best with someone who can help me stay calm and confident in those moments.
I'm looking for a home where I can be the only animal so, I can shine solo-somewhere with lots of love, some cozy spaces, and maybe a ball or two. If you've got a big heart and a spot in your life for a mountain-sized snuggle buddy, I just might be your girl.
Please just ask at the Adoption Center to meet me, because I have a quieter kennel at the shelter where the public can't see me.
I'm eligible for a scholarship though GoodPup, which is a dog training service! Ask your counselor for more information.
Medical History: Versie is a healthy adult dog, but it would be a good idea to get her in with her new vet soon after adoption so they can get to know each other!
Weight: ~ 114 lbs
Home Preferences: No other dogs, would like to go home with teens or older. They would benefit from a fenced yard.
Adoption Fee: $100 + Tax
