Meet Joan Lambert! Joan Lambert is a sweet, young rabbit who is learning that people can be safe and kind. Since she is quite fearful, she may not be a good match for young children. Joan will need a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time and is worth the wait! Joan loves when you let her approach you, she will come over and say hello and continue explore at her own pace. She is very nervous about hands reaching towards her, but she is slowly discovering that gentle petting and cuddling can feel safe! Medical: Joan Lambert is a healthy rabbit but it is always a good idea to introduce her to her new veterinarian so she can receive a full check-up. Joan Lambert is currently too young to be spayed and will need to come back to the shelter within 6 months of adoption to receive her surgery. Adopters are welcome to have her surgery done by their own veterinarian at their own expense but will need to provide proof of surgery to DCHS to get back the deposit placed at time of adoption.
