Benny (Full Name Benedict)

Cat | Male | Age: 8 | Mackerel Tabby Domestic Shorthair | Spayed/Neutered | Up-to-date on vaccinations

Benny is a beautiful cat with a golden personality. He's a very curious, bold and intelligent little man. Benny LOVES food and is very food motivated. He's a relaxed boy who loves to lounge about. At night he's a fan of sleeping underneath the blankets. Benny is the King of cuddles and an expert lap warmer! He loves being pet and could be pet for hours if you had the time. Big fan of catnip. Benny can be a talkative cat when he feels like it; sometimes feels like he's having a conversation with you. He has the most beautiful greenish colored eyes and obnoxiously big ears. He can be a bit shy with strangers, but comes around pretty quickly once he gets to know you. He is always the first to greet me at the door and the last to see me out when I go. Benny is truly a treasure!

Other Animals
Benny grew up with two other cats, Butter and Waffle and a single dog, Daphne. He is bonded to his cat brother Waffle and would prefer to be adopted with him, but could also make a good single cat.

Medical History
Benny is clawed, neutered and up to date on his vaccines. In the past he had feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) as a result of being offered too hard of water over a long period of time. He has had two urinary blockages because of this: the first in 2014 and the second in 2016. Since his last blockage in 2016 he was started on a prescription diet called Urinary S/O and hasn't had any further blockages since.

Ideal Home
Benny would make a great cat for any home! He is very outgoing once he comes out of his shell. Don't let his cautiousness with new people make you think otherwise. He would do well in both active homes and quiet ones. As mentioned above, he has lived with other cats and dogs and would likely do well with both or either. He is bonded to his brother cat Waffle and ideally would prefer to be adopted with him, but he would also make a great single cat too.

Physical Description
Mackerel Tabby Domestic Shorthair. Black, white and grey stripped cat with four white paws. White smudge on the nose with a tuxedo bib on his chest. Obnoxiously big ears!

Other Information
My friend passed away unexpectedly and left behind Benny, his two cat brothers and a dog. I am helping the surviving family rehome him and the others. Benny is on a prescription diet called Urinary S/O. The cost of a 20lb bag is ~$70, but he only gets a 1/4 cup a day. A single bag should last you about 5 months. There is no adoption fee for Benny. All interested parties must fill out an application and are subject to a standard background check.
