Dog | Female | Age: 1 | American Staff Terrior, Lab, Australian Kelpie Mix | Spayed/Neutered

Ellie is a sweet dog. She loves snuggling on the couch and sleeping in bed with her humans. She is friendly with children but would need to be the only dog in the house as she has resource guarding issues. This is the reason we are needing to rehome her as she resource guards against our older dog in our home. She has never shown aggression to humans, only resource guards food and bones from other dogs.

Other Animals
Yes, she has lived with another older dog (aussie heeler mix). Ellie will do best in a home where she is the only dog. She has shown resource guarding aggression over our other dog in our home with food and for attention.

Medical History
Spayed and up to date on vaccines. She also routinely has been given flea, tick and heartworm preventative. Ellie is missing her front left canine tooth due to needing to remove it by the vet. It missing does not bother her and she eats just fine without it.

Ideal Home
The ideal home would be her being the only dog in the home. We are unsure about her interactions with cats, but I would assume she would chase cats and this may not be ideal. She would also do best in a home with a fence or a family that can take her on walks. She has lived with children ages 9 to 6 very well.

Physical Description
Ellie is roughly 50lbs black and tan in color. Short and stocky.

Other Information
Ellie is a very sweet dog that knows basic commands like sit, lay down, shake. She is potty and house trained but does not like being in a kennel/crate. She does fine in our bedroom with the door shut while we are at work. She loves chew toys and bully stick bones. We are not looking for a rehoming donation, we just want Ellie in a good home that she can be loved by people and be the only dog in the home.
