Most DCHS and Wildlife Center services are by appointment only. If you found a lost animal, need to surrender a pet, found wildlife in need of help, or require another service, please call before coming to the shelter. Adoption visits are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cat | Male | Age: 6 | Mixed | Spayed/Neutered | Up-to-date on vaccinations

Very, very shy, but friendly, loving, and can be playful once you've gained his trust.

Other Animals
Felix has never lived with or interacted with other animals. He would likely hide though and not be aggressive.

Medical History
Felix is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. He is on a special diet from the vet, but otherwise healthy.

Ideal Home
Somewhere quiet with owner(s) who are often home or have a routine he can learn and adapt to.

Physical Description
Felix is all black and very fairly small.

Other Information
Felix belongs to my grandfather who is currently in the hospital and unlikely to go home again. Currently he is being fed by a neighbor, but my family knows that he deserves a loving home with family who can care for him and be there. Because he's so shy, we haven't seen Felix since my grandfather was hospitalized, so we may have to work to coax him out from hiding in order to rehome him.
