Most DCHS and Wildlife Center services are by appointment only, including reuniting lost animals, surrendering a pet, wildlife rehabilitation, and more. Adoption visits are first-come, first-served. We recommend checking our current waitlist prior to your visit.

Cat | Male | Age: 11 or 12 | Long hair | Spayed/Neutered

Jupiter is a definitely a lover. Wants as much attention and probably more than a person can give, though he is okay curling up on the floor, bed, or near a window too.

Other Animals
He has lived with other cats and dogs over 7 years ago; however, he would be best as an only cat.

Medical History
He was hyperthyroid in 2021, but has had radioactive iodine treatment and his thyroid levels are normal now. Has a congenital heart defect that was found on x-ray before the radioactive iodine treatment, but he has never shown any symptoms of heart problems. Front paws are declawed.

Ideal Home
He would be best as an only animal. Can get jealous of others (even his brother who is with me) and has had some behavioral problems due to a change in the household. Has occasionally been peeing in inappropriate places. I (and the vet) think this would stop if he was the only animal in a home.
