Most DCHS and Wildlife Center services are by appointment only. If you found a lost animal, need to surrender a pet, found wildlife in need of help, or require another service, please call before coming to the shelter. Adoption visits are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cat | Female | Age: 3 | Tabby | Spayed/Neutered | Up-to-date on vaccinations

Luna is a very sweet cat. She loves to snuggle and be around her owner but probably won't be the "party cat" unless treats are involved. She's very good about using her litter box, she's not aggressive and won't bite unless she's playing, and she doesn't over eat so as long as there's food available she should be good. Although she's very shy at first, she's a very vocal cat once she gets comfortable with her owner.

Other Animals
She lived with a chihuahua before and that was fine for her. She hasn't interacted much with other cats however. The only time she did was for a cat play date and that was the only time I've ever heard Luna hiss at anything.

Medical History
Medical history is clean.

Ideal Home
Ideal home would be one with 2 people or with someone who works at home to give her the attention she needs. I think a dog would be fine but I'm not sure how well she'd do living with another cat.

Physical Description
Brown with white paws and chest
