Most DCHS and Wildlife Center services are by appointment only. If you found a lost animal, need to surrender a pet, found wildlife in need of help, or require another service, please call before coming to the shelter. Adoption visits are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cat | Male | Age: 2 years | Domestic short hair | Spayed/Neutered | Up-to-date on vaccinations

Loving. Likes to be in the same room as you are, preferably sitting near you. Vocal, likes say “hello” (in cat language!) when you get home. Sleeps in bed with you and greets you when you wake up.

Other Animals
Norman does live with other cats and a dog. I took him in as a favor to a friend, but Norman would do much better in a home without other cats.

Medical History
Norman is NOT declawed. He does use the scratching post, not my furniture,

Ideal Home
Norman would love to be in a home with just humans. He will run from small children, but he will snuggle endlessly with adults. He does get along with one of my cats (but my other cat will not tolerate him) and Norman puts up with the dog, begrudgingly.

Other Information
Norman is a loving pet who I wish would get along with my currents cats. He sleeps in bed with me, sits on the couch with me, and comes to my office to sit and watch me work. (Provided my one cat is not around). He uses his litter box, is very clean, uses a scratching post, and is an overall good cat.
