Most DCHS and Wildlife Center services are by appointment only, including reuniting lost animals, surrendering a pet, wildlife rehabilitation, and more. Adoption visits are first-come, first-served. We recommend checking our current waitlist prior to your visit.

Exotic | Female | Age: 2.5 | Gerbil

Very sweet. Never bites. She's an angel at the vet. Doesn't mind cuddles.

Other Animals
Should be in her own tank because she's been in her own tank over a year. We can surrender her with her tank and supplies we have on hand.

Medical History
She has no front top teeth. We blend her dry food to a well-crushed consistency like crumbs. We blend together a mix of critical care powder, pecans, and pelleted gerbil food and blend it to a crumb consistency for her to eat. The pecans are important to keep her plump, at a healthy weight. She has a sizeable growth by her mouth. The vet has seen it. They believe it to be benign, possibly a skin tag.

Ideal Home
Someone who will take her to the vet every 8 weeks to have her teeth trimmed. Someone who will appreciate how sweet she is. Toast is a very sweet gerbil.

Physical Description
Light tan and cream fur, like toast. Black eyes.

Other Information
She loves to nest with ripped up paper towel pieces. She makes it into a little better around her.
