Board Member
Joe Zitzelsberger
Joe is a lifelong Wisconsin resident. He graduated from UW Stevens Point with a BA in Communications, and moved to Madison in 1997 to work in technology at American Family. He has since earned a Data Analytics Certificate from Madison College, and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from UW Madison’s Wisconsin School of Business. Joe is currently a Senior Engineer working on the ServiceNow platform at AmFam.
He took interest in public service in 2011, joining the Village of Waunakee Board of Review. He was later appointed to the Public Works Committee as well. In 2018, 2022, and 2024 Joe was elected to the Waunakee Village Board. As a member of the board, he has also chaired the Village Police and Finance Committees, and been a member of the Utilities and Plan Commissions.
As members of the DCHS Directors' Council, Joe and his family regularly attend Toto’s Gala and Bark and Wine, and have adopted several dogs from DCHS over the years. Currently, the Zitzelsberger family shares their home with two Yorkies. Their favorite animals to adopt are those in their senior years, or who require medical assistance.
In his free time, Joe enjoys photography, live audio production, motorcycling, and flying his drones – especially in support of non-profit organizations.
