Thank You for Joining Us at Bark & Wine!
What a great event we had this year! We had an incredible afternoon celebrating animals and the people who love them, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it a success, from our generous sponsors and bidders to our amazing volunteers and guests. Together, we raised vital funds to support the animals in our care.
And the results are in: Team Cat took home the trophy for the second year in a row! Congratulations to all our teams, and their fans, for making the friendly competition so much fun.

Donate to Vote for Your Favorite Team
YOU get to decide who takes home the prize in the biggest rivalry in town! You'll be able to donate to vote for your favorite team (or teams, if you can't choose just one) online. Start voting and continue to check on your team's status as we get ready for the event to see if your team needs you to help give them a boost over the other groups. The team with the highest donation tally at the end of Bark & Wine (6:00 pm on September 27) will be crowned the champion!
Silent Auction
We have incredible items generously donated by local businesses, DCHS volunteers, and other supporters available in our online auction. Our auction has a little bit of everything: from musical instruments, to home décor, to rare liquors and wines, to handmade items. We have a variety of gift cards and certificates to enjoy events, activities, and restaurants. And carefully curated baskets for you and your fur-iends. All proceeds go to provide comfort and care to our animals. The auction is now open. Browse and bid here!

The auction will close at 5:30 pm on September 27. If you're not at the event to gather your winnings, items will be available for pickup from 12:00-3:00 pm on Sunday, September 28. at the Main Shelter, 5132 Voges Road. If the pickup time doesn't fit your schedule, accommodations can be arranged. Just email events@giveshelter.org
