Patty owned and managed a Madison area pet store for 17 years, advocating for appropriate lifelong care of pets. Before joining DCHS as Volunteer Coordinator, Patty volunteered as a Master Gardener in Kansas and Wisconsin, as a KONZA prairie docent, a VISTA volunteer and helped start both the Middleton Outreach Ministry food pantry garden and Bock Community Garden.
As the Volunteer Coordinator, Patty acts as the liaison between volunteers and DCHS’s core programs and services. Patty ensures DCHS's needs are met through recruitment, orientation, on-going support, recognition and retention for the volunteers that make a difference for DCHS staff and the animals in our care.
