Clear The Shelters Adoption Event

We're teaming up with NBC15 to host the Clear The Shelters pet adoption event.

All August long we will have special promotions and deals to help clear our shelter. We will also have a big adoption event at the end of the month. 

Adoption Specials:

• Aug 7-13 – Critters are 50% off! 
• Aug 14-20 – Lonely Hearts Club Members are 50% off!
• Aug 26-27 - Big Adoption Weekend Event!

Adoption Event Details: 

Adoptions at DCHS are first come, first served. Most animals are adopted quickly, so those interested in a particular animal should NOT wait to meet them because you might miss out on that animal.

We recommend that potential adopters check out the animals available for adoption on our website prior to arriving at the shelter. We also suggest having a couple animals in mind to meet with in case the pet they were interested in is adopted before it’s their turn.

Upon arrival, potential adopters should inform our Adoption staff of who they're interested in meeting so they can be added to that day's waitlist. 

Adopters should bring leashes, carries, and any other supplies needed to bring a pet home that day. The Adoption Center does have these items available for purchase for those who need them.
