Wildlife Center
DCHS's Wildlife Center takes in thousands of injured, sick, or orphaned wild animals every year with the goal of treating and releasing healthy animals back to their natural habitats. Volunteers help us with everything from direct animal care to cage construction and maintenance. If working with wildlife interests you, please consider our Wildlife Assistant volunteer position.
Recruitment of new Wildlife Assistants is from January 1 through March 13 of 2023. If you do not apply within this recruitment period, you will need to wait until 2024 to volunteer in our Wildlife Center.
